Commitment to Community through Deos Terrum
The custodians of Deos Terrum affirm their commitment to the strength and well-being of the local community. As a charitable parcel held in trust for public benefit, Deos Terrum exists to serve – offering practical support to the vulnerable, assistance in times of need, and a foundation for hands-on community works rooted in compassion and shared responsibility.
Deos Terrum honours a long tradition of community service: the rallying of volunteers, the repair of shared infrastructure, the response to natural disaster, and the meeting of urgent needs wherever they arise. We pledge to continue and build upon this tradition – mobilising resources, volunteers, and practical effort wherever community repairs, restoration, or emergency support is required, so that work is done swiftly, visibly, and to the direct benefit of those who need it most.
All contributions received in support of these efforts shall be directed entirely toward works that benefit the community directly. No resources shall be consumed by unnecessary administration or executive overhead. Every asset and contribution held or received by Deos Terrum shall be responsibly managed and applied to bring real and lasting improvement to the lives of the men, women, and children of this community.
Through this commitment, we dedicate Deos Terrum to the enduring purposes of unity, resilience, and public good – a place of service, not profit; of giving, not gain. We walk alongside all who labour in love to build a stronger, safer, and more caring community – driven by the community, for the community.
Support to various community projects and initiatives is extended as needs arise and opportunities present themselves. Deos Terrum, through the Council of Custodians, bears the working costs of Faith Missions Australia website expenses, to assist that Ministry’s activities and continued delivery of community services.
Community members or groups who know of a cause requiring support are warmly invited to contact us at community@deosterrum.com, so that their need may be considered by the Council of Custodians and addressed in partnership with the people this land exists to serve.
