Residential status conveys no guarantees, obligations or commitments. A resident of Deos Terrum simply identifies with the territory and governance of the nation of Deos Terrum. There is no charge of gold, silver or other currency for residency status.
A man or woman who aligns with and demonstrates a genuine connection to the intentions, values, aspirations, and identity of Deos Terrum shall be deemed to possess residency status within the realm.
The Montevideo Convention does not explicitly define how permanent the population must be or whether individuals must reside continuously within the territory. Legal scholars argue that the criterion is satisfied if there is a community with an intention to establish permanent residency and be recognized as inhabitants of the state.
